Tessi despite being only 16 is no stranger to the stage and has performed time and time again for crowds all over. She is a skilled young lady with talents ranging from visual to music arts. In the past Tessi has qualified for the National Eisteddfod Young Performers Award. This particular award is the most prestigious event of the kind in South Africa for young performers in music, dance, and drama; this is only one of the many achievements the future aspiring performer has under her belt.
After placing second in the National Eisteddfod Young Performers Award, Tessi was given the opportunity to perform as the opening for Majozi in Cape Town, not knowing that this would later open doors for her Tessi agreed to recording and producing with him and in doing that it would be prompting her music career.
For Tessi being in the studio was a phenomenal experience that she felt extremely fortunate to have, she remembers how accommodating and compassionate Majozi and his team were throughout the time they recorded together. Tessi received several compliments on her singing, one of them being from Majozi himself and his producer about how she doesn’t sing like a 16-year-old but like a 25-year-old.
Overall recording with Majozi was inspiring and a boost of confidence to Tessi. She feels extremely grateful for the support from her parents and peers and hopes everyone will be there to cheer her on in the future. Tessi Ratnarajah is an inspiration to the youth of the world and an example of what you can achieve if you work diligently.
